The syndrome occurs due to the autoimmune production of antibodies against phospholipid (aPL), a cell membrane substance.
Antiphospholipid syndrome is sometimes referred to as Hughes syndrome.
Thrombosis or stroke – Possible residual neurologic findings
Cutaneous manifestations
These may include digital cyanosis, livedo reticularis, digital gangrene, and leg ulcers. The cause of these features remains otherwise unexplained.
Other features related to cutaneous manifestations, with a cause that remains unexplained, include transient ischemic attacks or amaurosis fugax, positive result from the Coombs test, hemolytic anemia, chorea, and chorea gravidarum.
Discoid rash (ie, erythematous raised patch with keratotic scaling and follicular plugging) is a criterion. Older lesions may be atrophic. Again, the cause remains unexplained.
Photosensitivity with an unexplained cause is another criterion.
2. We hardly save enough due to the medicines required for me to take regularly, likewise, we have a son, Rae Marvin Marfil Labo,who is also in Grade IV at Paco Catholic School right now.
3 We are just earning P 15,000.00 net pay every month, excluding our medicine expenses which bothers me a lot.
4. The most important thing in this world, and every dream of parents, is to fulfill their obligations to have their children finish their studies and be a responsible citizen in their chosen career.
5. The only solution we thought that could help us, is to seek for people and organizations like yours whom we know would listen to our appeal and could assists us in our present problem.
