Roots and Routes Travel and Tours PRESS RELEASE:
A group of professional tour designers launches this summer a “training camp” where one can heal, and become an earth healer in the process.
“This is no ordinary tour,” said Gay Miclat-Gatbonton of Roots and Routes Travel and Tours, an alternative tour agency based in Quezon City. “We have come up with a wellness tour expertly designed by stress management instructor/facilitator David Montecillo, which is expected to not only heal the person, but the earth as well.
“The wellness tour is a reconnection to nature within ourselves; when we heal ourselves from within, we eventually heal the environment, Montecillo said.
Miclat-Gatbonton had worked with Montecillo in this special tour package called Art of Wellness, a three-day, two-night wellness-packed activities in the serene town of Cavinti, Laguna, starting in May this summer.
“The healing of one is the healing of the planet,” said Miclat-Gatbonton of the Art of Wellness’ overall vision.
“The Art of Wellness is probably the first of its kind in the country—with therapies on achieving mind-body health through integrated energy, while reconnecting with nature,” Miclag-Gatbonton added. “Cavinti in Laguna is a perfect wellness-tour town. Its hilly and mountainous terrain is perfect for wellness pursuits.”
Cavinti, home to Pagsanjan Falls, is situated in the foothills of Sierra Madre Mountain Ranges, about 100 kilometers from Manila.
Chi or Ki energy is the basis for this entire wellness tour, according to Montecillo.
The Art of Wellness tour features Basic Sitting Chi Gong, a BARS healing, an eating meditation for losing weight, Tai Chi Push-Hands, and Body Gratitude Meditation.
“There is also a session for feeling the energy of words, writing, and sounds on the body’s energy, and learning how thoughts and sound affect a person’s overall health,” Montecillo added.
The wellness tour also includes optional activities such as rappelling in Pueblo El Salvador, and sight-seeing cum shopping in Paete, Lumban, and Cavinti as well.
